A buying shop, not a label.
Worthlucky started because getting good Turkish high-street clothes in Arusha meant either knowing someone flying back from Istanbul or paying a courier more than the dress cost.
So we do the flying. Twice a season we buy from the Turkish labels — LC Waikiki, Koton, DeFacto, Mavi, Çolin’s, İpekyol, Kiğılı and Penti — and bring back the pieces that make sense for how people here actually dress. Small quantities of a lot of styles, rather than deep stock in a few.
We do not make anything, and we will not tell you we do. What we offer is the buying, the shipping, the sizing advice and somebody at the other end of a WhatsApp message who has actually seen the garment.
What we carry
- Women — Dresses, tailoring, knitwear and outerwear, flown in from Istanbul.
- Men — Polos, plain shirts and jackets. The essentials, done properly.
- Girls — Ages 1 to 14. Built for school runs, parties and growing out of.
- Accessories — Bags, jewellery, sunglasses and the things that finish an outfit.
- Essentials — The plain, well-cut basics you replace rather than think about.
The men’s rail
Essentials rather than fashion — a pique polo, plain shirts in the colours worth owning, and jackets. Sized S to 3XL, with collar measurements on the shirts.
The girls’ rail
Ages 1 to 14, sized by age band the way the Turkish labels cut it. It is the part of the shop that grows fastest, because children do. Send us her height on WhatsApp and we will tell you which band to order rather than letting you guess.
