Worthlucky began with a simple frustration: everything on offer was cut either for the office or for the party, and nothing carried a woman from one to the other without a change of clothes.

So we make pieces that hold their shape through a full day — tailoring soft enough to sit in, knitwear fine enough to layer, evening pieces that do not need an occasion. Each style is produced in a run of a few hundred, then retired.

Everything is cut and sewn in Dar es Salaam, by a workshop we visit every week and pay above the local garment rate.
